Benniman appointed to deliver final phase of Indurent Park Longbridge West
Indurent, a leading developer, owner and operator of industrial and logistics space across the UK, has appointed Benniman to deliver the final phase of Indurent Park Longbridge West in Birmingham.
The former MG Rover car manufacturing plant will be transformed into 339,370 sq ft of high-quality industrial employment space, supporting jobs, skills development and long-term economic growth across the region.
Benniman will construct 13 new industrial and logistics buildings, ranging in size from 11,791 sq ft to 114,255 sq ft, suitable for a range of uses including advanced manufacturing, logistics and distribution.
The modern, energy-efficient units are designed to achieve BREEAM ‘Excellent’ and EPC A and A+. The development will also integrate with the River Rea valley walking and cycling routes, strengthening sustainable transport links to Birmingham and the wider West Midlands.
Benniman’s director, Paul Barfoot, commented: “We’re delighted to be delivering the final phase of Indurent Park Longbridge West. Having built a strong working relationship with Indurent across multiple developments, we’re looking forward to delivering another high-quality scheme that will serve the region for years to come.”
Benniman’s appointment continues a successful partnership with Indurent, which recently includes the onsite construction of a multi-let development at Indurent Park Gloucester and the first phase of Indurent Park Lichfield in Staffordshire. Together, the three developments total more than 1 million sq ft.
