Benniman chosen for £31m logistics scheme in Longmoor

Longmoor (1)

BentallGreenOak and Equation Properties has appointed Benniman for its new industrial/distribution development in Longmoor, Hampshire.

Work is underway on the construction of two new, high-quality units at Vanguard Logistics Park, a former Ministry of Defence site spanning 15 acres.

The new industrial spaces will total 346,563 sq ft and have been designed to meet the highest environmental performance.

Units will target BREEAM Excellent certification and feature renewable technologies such as solar PV panelling and air source heat pumps, with green roofing to office areas. Externally there will be bicycle shelters and 36 active charging points for electric vehicles.

Conservation and biodiversity considerations have underpinned the design of the new development. Acid grass maintenance will support the specific local ecology, while permaculture installations including rain gardens and swales will aid surface water management. Benniman will also install sustainable sweet chestnut cladding, native climbers, and a 1,900 m² green living wall.

The development was designed by UMC Architects and is expected to take 46 weeks to complete.

Steven Smith, managing director, Benniman said: “Vanguard Logistics Park is a high quality industrial/distribution development with environmental sustainability at its heart. We are pleased to be working with BentallGreenOak and Equation Properties to construct the new units and look forward to completing the project by August 2025.”
