Greenlight for new 192,556 sq ft industrial scheme in Redditch
Greenlight Logistics, a joint venture platform between Delancy and Coltham Developments, has appointed Benniman to deliver a major new development at a manufacturing site in Redditch.
The Greenlight Redditch project will see the construction of four new industrial/warehouse units, each with integral office space, ranging from 10,000 to 67,475 sq ft. All buildings are designed to achieve a BREEAM Outstanding and EPC A+ rating, reflecting a commitment to exceptional environmental performance.
In addition, Benniman will refurbish an existing 61,800 sq ft unit, which has already been pre-let to the existing tenant and deliver a 2,200 sq ft office extension.
The £20 million project will involve the partial demolition of vacant buildings on-site, clearing the way for the new development. Benniman will also oversee the full scope of external site works, including the construction of hard standings, car parking, barriers, mains services, landscaping, drainage, and fencing.
Greenlight Redditch has been designed by architects, BHP Design and is expected to take approximately 60 weeks to complete.
Tim Mills, Procurement Director at Benniman commented: “This is an exciting opportunity to transform an existing manufacturing complex into a flexible and sustainable industrial/logistics hub, providing high-quality mid-box accommodation with leading sustainability credentials.”
