New partnership to strengthen construction sector education

Benniman has announced a strategic partnership with Heart of Worcestershire College (HoW) reinforcing its commitment to developing the next generation of construction professionals.

Building on an established relationship, this new three-year agreement recognises the importance of equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and experience needed to succeed in the construction industry.

The collaboration will focus on shaping industry-relevant curriculum content, raising awareness of the wide range of careers in construction, and providing hands-on experience through work placements and live projects.

Benniman’s HSQE Director, Andy McNair, said the company was proud to continue working with HoW, having already contributed to teaching sessions, careers guidance, a carpentry competition, and a hosted site visit for electrical installation students at St. Modwen Park.

“This partnership is an exciting opportunity to bridge the gap between education and industry,” said Andy. “By collaborating with HoW, we aim to inspire young people to pursue careers in construction, ensuring they have the skills needed to succeed in a rapidly changing environment.”

Michelle Dowse, Principal and CEO HoW, added: “We are thrilled to embark on this partnership with Benniman, which represents a significant step in aligning education with the evolving demands of the construction industry. It will provide invaluable experience for our students to get real life experience of the sector.”
